One of those “go-to recipes” that makes summertime living simple is this one. For visitors to enjoy on the terrace while drinking mojitos, serve as a main course or even as a snack!

The purpose of a marinade is to tenderize meat and flavor it with aromatic herbs and spices. Garlic, lemon, and other fresh herbs and spices give this marinade for shrimp a wonderfully acidic taste.

It’s crucial to neither overmarinate or overcook shrimp because, in comparison to other proteins, these processes only take a few minutes.

1 large clove garlic

1 teaspoon coarse salt

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons lemon juice

2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 wedges lemon, for garnish

Grill at a medium temperature.

Use a fork to combine salt and garlic in a small bowl. Add the cayenne and paprika. To create a paste, combine lemon juice and olive oil.

In a large bowl, combine the shrimp and garlic paste. Toss to coat the shrimp completely.

Give the grill grate a little oil. Grill shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until opaque. Serve after transferring to a serving plate and adding lemon wedges as a garnish.
